Oakland Yacht Club has a very active race program.

OYC is a member and sponsor of:

• San Francisco Bay Yacht Racing Association (SFBYRA)
• Pacific Inter-Club Yacht Association (PICYA),
• Predicted Log Racing Association (PLRA),
• The Northern California Power Cruise Association (NCPCA).

Oakland Yacht Club also provides meeting facilities for the Singlehanded Sailing Society (SSS), for people who like to sail Singlehanded. .OYC also hosts meetings for BAMA (Bay Area Multihull Association).
